The last week of class was a bit stressful for me, as Im sure it was for everyone else in our group. I say in our group because Im not really sure how much some other students really even cared. It was hard going over and trying to rememorize everything we had done over the last month but what really stressed me out i think, was not being able to be as social as we had been for the last 3 weeks. I realized that after going just one day without meeting up with people, I really missed them and started to feel really lonely. Its strange because here in chicago I go days and days without meeting up with my friends usually until the weekends.
The culture in salamanca seems to be so much more social though. It seems the only time people really go home is for meals and sleeping. It's nice to be able to look forward to every evening seeing your friends, it makes working not seem like such a drag. By 10 o clock in the evening there are tons of people waiting in the plaza for their friends and family. Even if its just to get a drink and find out how the day went. I'v been back for a week now and that is the thing i miss most of all, even more than profe gonzalo. ;)
