ridin down the road

On thursday we went to el savor for our weekly salsa dancing night. Gabi and marta were supposed to join us and we were very much looking forward to this, but alas, they did not come. (just kidding, its ok i guess). Anyways, we had a bit of wine in the plaza beforehand and headed off around 1 to el savor. we had a ton of fun dancing as usual and saw that a lot of people we knew were there. That is another wonderful thing about salamanca, usually, unless you are trying to avoid someone, then its not good i guess. But it was fun and although i didnt get home until 530 or so, i still made it to class thank you very much. Gotta love siesta.

The last day of classes were pretty sad for me. a lot of people were happy and discussing all of the things they were going to eat as soon as they got home; hamburgers, steak, barbecue. It made me sad though. I had so much fun over the last month and I love the food in salamanca. We learned some tongue-twisters in my grammar class and there were only 3 of us in my global class so we just talked. In my oral class we made collages of all of our favorite memories of salamanca and spain (mine included the phrases, "que tal tias" and "es mio!") And in our culture class we listened to and discussed some spanish music. It was a fun last day followed by long naps to prepare ourselves for a long night ahead in which we had planned to stay up all night until we left for madrid at 7.
