Tuesday I bumped into Kee and Bianca and they were on their way to a bar and they invited me with. I havent been out to a club since Ive been here. Honestly I wasnt really interested but I enjoy their company so I tagged along. Once we got there, Bianca requested some music from the DJ. He was really accommedating, he didnt understand her, so he had her write it down on a napkin. Within minutes, he was playing music from home. It was soo good to hear something familiar !!!
Then I started talking to the bartenders. I used to work in clubs in Chicago for years when I was in school. They made me laugh though. When I told them I used to work in a club they giggled so I asked "What do you call this place then?" They all smiled and said "Its a bar. Clubs are places where the prostitutas are!" I almost died of embarassment!!!! I quickly explained that in Chicago we call them clubs and they laughed and said while Im in Spain the word bar covers all clubs :) When they heard I was from Chicago they said "Oh where they criminals are from. You know , the mafia" Then they started playing around and pretending to shoot. They were really nice and we spoke for 2 hours. Thats the most I talked to Spaniards!
