I had to speak twice in front of a class this week. The first time was for my culture class. I had a Navarre for my region. I really enjoyed it becaused I learned that they are the leader in Europe in using newable resources. Right now they are using 60percent renewable energy and in four years they plan on using 100 percent renewable energy. I was impresed and I feel the US could feasably move in a similar direction if so much of the wealthy men in our country werent oil conglomerates. IWhen I spoke I was comfortable with the topic.
Then I had a ten minute speech for Global Communication. I decided to do it on the Spanish Empire. I love that period in the history of Spain. In my opinion it is what ties us all together to this day. Unfortunately I regret volunteering to go the first week. The material was a bit more challenging to translate for me. It did not go as well as I had hoped. But thankfully my teacher is patient. He asked me a few questions to make sure I was familiar with the material. He also wanted to see how I did without the notecards. That part went a little better. I am so lucky to have such a patient teacher. Even though I was so nervous, he made me feel much more at ease!!
