Final Day in Spain

My final days in Salamanca were very sad. I really wanted to stay there for much longer. I started taking pictures of my host family. Furthermore, I took pictures of my bedroom. I took pictures of my bed to remember the siestas I used to take. I sat with my family for lunch during my final day in Salamaca and told the how much I liked the city and appreciated their kindness. They really made me feel like a true son to them throughout the whole month. When I once asked my host mother if she had any kids, she replied, "You are my kids."

Furthermore, Erica, Chris and I went went to Birdland Jazz Cafe to take pictures with the waiters there. This is the cafe that we always used to be in to do our homework. The waiters were nice to us throughout our whole trip. They got to know us so well that they, a couple of times, didn't let me pay for the coffee I asked for. Moreover, they always assisted us by trying to do as much as possible to get the wireless internet back when it got disconnected. I really miss that cafe and I am sad that Chicago does not have a similar cafe to it. When I got back home, I enlarged one of the pictures of the cafe, framed it, and hanged it in my room to remember the long hours I spent in there.
