El Cuarto Blog de la Segunda Semana

This morning, went for a walk in the park. The park is close to the house I live in. I was suprised to seethat there were many people in the park very early in the morning. People were just sitting, hearing the birds sing and enjoying the beauty of nature. I sat for a while in the park and asked the waiter to get me a Fanta to drink.Of course, the waiter realized that I did not speak good Spanish. Therefore, he asked me from were I was and after I rreponded we got into a long conversation. I was happy that I was able to understand many things he said and happy thatI had the chance to talk with a Spanish person about politics in the U.S and in Middle East.I felt like I was really blendinginto the culture. Also, I was suprised to see that a waiter knew so much about the U.S and the Middle East. Peoplein Spain seem to much more educated than the people in the United States when it comes to politics.

The conversation with the waiter was great. However,a fter having the long conversation with the waiter, he had to go back to work. Therefore, I just drank my Fanta andheaded home. However, I decided to take a different and long path home to explore the city a little more. I realizedthat the further a person travels from Plaza Major the cheaper the prices get in retail stores. Of course, this was nota suprise for me. However, at least I know were I could buy things at cheaper prices in the city.
