I was going to talk about something else today, but instead I want to tell you about a woman in a hair salon/ spa that I met. Her name is Rosana and she works in a saloon not far from the plaza called Young Design. I was kind of skeptical to walk inside in fear of speaking bad spanish so I made Gabby go with me. Gabby spoke to the woman for about 2 seconds before Rosana started talking english. I know we´re suppose to talk spanish, but this was muy importante. I didn´t want to walk out with no hair because I told her the wrong thing. If it helps, she "threaten" to speak only spanish when I come in for my treatments every week.

Anywho, Rosana was great. She put a microscopic camera to my hair and scalp to show me the grease and damage done to my hair up close and personal. She sat me down to consult on some of the products that I was asking about (Kerastase) and showed me step by step how to use each one. Not only that she told me about some of the hottest places to hang out in Salamanca with encouragement to go out and meet people even if my spanish is bad. "That´s how you learn" she said. And may I add that her english is excellent and she was born and raised in Salamanca. She also told me about a "do it yourself" program which consist of yourself and a spanish person in need of learning english.

Rosana explicó a mí que en este progran usted y en otra mano de persona fuera para por lo menos 2hrs un día y para una hora usted habla inglés para ayudarlos y la otra hora usted habla español para servirse. Pensé que eso fue la mejor idea yo´ve oyó desde que estuve aquí (no ofensa). Yo la dije que fui interesado y que podemos hablar más durante mi cita el próximo el lunes. Debo decir que Rosana es la primera persona yo´ve encontró realmente desde que yo´ve estuvo aquí y ella´s maravilloso. Para los chicos... ella´s muy bastante también. Para las chicas... va cheque fuera la cantina. ¡Hasta que mi cita le vea luego!
