Yesterday my roommate told me that he has access to a pool here in Salamanca. Of course, the pool can only be accessed with an entrance card. Therefore, I purchased an entrance card today and went for a swim. I was suprised to see how many people were in the pool. Furthermore, most of the people in the pool were foreigners. I have been wanting to swim since the time I got here. The weather gets hot sometimes and swimming is perhaps the best way to cool myslef down.

After swimming, my friend and I decided to go for a snack. I realized that Salamnca had different variaties of food. However, the desserts in Salamanca are almost the same as the desserts in theUnited States. Anyhow, we ended up eating icecream. The place were we went to eat icecream is called Leonas. I was suprised to see that, in Leonas, people order there food through a machine. They insert the money, push the button for their selection, and give the receipt that comes out of the machine to the cashier. I never seen something like that in the United States. That is interseting. However, I did not really like it because people tend to get disorganized when they finish ordering from the maching and give the receipt to the cashier.
