Sunday we went to the Prado on Madrid. The streets around the museum were beautiful. They reminded me of Paris. The avenue was tree lined. They were artists all along the street selling their pieces. Paloma was cute, all the older men were entranced by her smile. One of the sellers gave her a deal on his work while another serenaded her wth his music. As for the museum itself,I am not very interested in artwork, but I did find the architecture beautiful. Honestly the area reminded me of Lincoln Park and Chicago's Museum campus.
The bus ride back was beautiful. I finally got to see Spains countryside at night. I loved seeing the towns lit up. The best was the approach to Salamanca. After weeks of seeing it in postcards, I got the breathtaking view in person. As we drove in the view was surreal. It is amazing how many centuries the skyline has probably been the same in Salamanca.
