I can´t believe our first week in Salamanca is over, it went by so fast, before we know it, it will be time for us to go home. I really like Spain, so much so that I am considering buying an apartment so I can come back every year for at least a month. I was looking at the real estate and it was a shock to see how low the property sells for around here. I feel like another person when I am here, I´m not constantly worrying about things, and I just go with the flow, something that seems impossible to do when I am at home. I am going to try to keep up this new attitude when I go home, I think that it will make my life alot easier. However, some things are more easily said than done. Also it is so much easier to be relaxed in a place a beautiful as Salamanca.
So far I am pretty satisfied with how this whole trip is going, there were some bumps in the road but I that´s what happens with a new program. Next year I have faith that the students fortunate enough to go to Spain will have an easier time. But overall this experience has been an amazing eye-opening experience. When the chancellor said that this trip was going to change our lives I could´nt see how that would be possible. After being here for only a week I am starting to understand what he said.
