I thought I wasted my time with all that until I saw a store that had a nice, I mean nice sale on items that were already marked down. I had to make sure that I didn’t buy to much stuff because I have to carry it on the plane with me back to Chicago. I purchased a few items for my family and friends and I hope they like it. They might not ever get to come here but at least something that they will own did. I just have to make sure I give them there gift away from others since I don’t have enough to give to every single member of my family or every one of my friends.
I arrived home in time to have dinner with was good until I realized what I had eat. I had ask Tamara to please cut off the head of the shrimp and that I didn’t want to see the eyes of something I was about to eat and she did with no problem. She was trying to tell me the item that I said taste good and tasted like chicken was not chicken. I told her to wait until I finished eating to tell me so that I wouldn’t get sick or waste her food. When the last bite was down, that’s when I asked her what it was. It was octopus sautéed in onions and olive-oil and a bit of seasoning. Oh I freaked out for a moment just imaging the arms and legs being cut off. She said she would not serve that anymore while laughing at the facial expressions I was making.
I noticed that since I have been here that they use a lot of olive oil and seafood in there dishes. Tamara cooks well and a lot of food. I can not complain with what she be cooking cuz she be hooking it up. In educated terms: she cooks well and I am well pleased. I just had to throw some kind of humor into it. Oh yeah I forgot to tell you about the bus pass. I finally got my bus pass and all this time I was paying .80 euros for 1 bus ride but now with the card I pay less than .37euros. Oooooooo weeeee I’m goin be one riding sista. (Meaning – I have more than enough rides that I can ride the bus more times now than before I had purchased the bus card). Now that’s another funny moment for you to laugh.
I feel so much better now that I mentally removed what was bothering me from the back of my head. I rode 3 buses on Saturday just looking at Salamanca and how pretty it is. It’s clean in some areas and in others they could use a good clean up. I feel safer here than in my own neighborhood. It’s not everyday that you can look up and see the sky for a minute without getting jacked or robbed while standing at the bus stop.
