"Fuerte sin miedo!" Thats what my guitar teacher told the class today...Play strong without fear!!!! I think Ill apply that to my life. I started my guitar class and I love it. For years I have had a goals list and Ive checked off more on that list since Ive been atending City Colleges than I have in a long time: return to school, study Spanish, travel, take guitar, pursue my dreams..... Needless to say Im happy. It was wonderful in the guitar class how none of of shared the same language, yet the desire to learn was all that was needed to bring us together.
I also love how that same desire exists in all of our other classes. We have met many international students. Getting to know them has been a like taking a class in world affairs. The teachers and students are so inviting. I am amazed at our cultural exchange! While I feel somewhat uncomfortable in the streets. have never felt this way at the University. Too bad we cannot carry that supportive environment to all parts of the world.
"Me gusta guitarra, me gusta tu." Mano Chao. Me gusta mi profesor de guitara. El es muy amable. Tengo paz cuando enstoy en el clase. No puedo comunicar con la otra gente con palabras pero puedo comunicar con nuestra sonrisas. La semana pasada estuve muy timida con todo mundo pero este semana muy comodo. Pero solamente posible con la apoyo de mis profesoras y mis companeros....Muchas gracias!!
