El Sabado. 14/7/07

The weekend began and it is time to relax. Yesterday I sat in a cafe with my roommate for a while. I decided not to leave the city so I could get some homework done. As we all know, just a week and a half from today the finalexams began. This week seems like it may be a long week. However, I am very happyfor that. I feel that throughout the past two weeks in Salamanca I have learned much. My spanish vocabularyincreased. Furthermore, since I am studying grammar in the university, I am able to complete the contructionsof simple sentences without much difficulties.

Yesterday, after hanging out in the cafe for a while, my roommate and I decided to watch a band that was playing jazz music in Plaza Major. The music was wonderful and the people really enjoyed it. There were so many peoplein the plaza yesterday. We were trying to find a seat in front of one of the restaurants in the plaza. However, because there were too many people, we could not find one. Therefore, we just watched the band playfor a short while and went home after we got tired of standing. I regret going home so early. The people in this city stay up so late. I felt like I was sleeping at the time the chickens go to sleep.
