Once I got settled it was around 1 pm. Luis told me that lunch would be prepared in about an hour. I couldn’t wait because I was starving and curious about the food. However, it seemed I was more tired than hungry and learned the hard way about Salamancans prompt dinner time hours. Apparently, I over slept and I awoke to the sound of my new host mom knocking on the door. Unfortunately, she informed me I was late and only had time for fruit.
Luis escorted me to the Plaza. Once I arrived, I was struck by its beauty and elegance. It also amazed me because the archetecture was almost identical to that of Mexico City. However, it was hardly a metropolis. Instead it was bubbling with life within this tranquil pond and felt like the heart of this quaint town. It was great place to embark upon Spanish culture. Although my freinds and I retired early (10 pm) we couldn´t wait for tomorrow.
