Cáceres y Trujillo - El diario de Ángela

El viaje de Cáceres y Trujillo no fue interesante. El grupo fue más bastante grande. Y la guía, Laura es simpática y amable pero ella no pude comunicar su conocimiento sobre estos sitios muy bien a nosotros. Pero los escenarios es más magnifico. Extremadura es conocida con su nombre la tierra de conquistadores. Es verdad porque Pizarro y Hernán Cortés son de Extremadura. La influencia de Árabe ha sido más profundo en los torres cuadrados.

Ella nos dio el tiempo libre desde de las trece hasta quince y cuarto. Gasté la primera hora asistiendo a la misa en la Catedral de Cáceres. Gasté media hora para comer mi almuerzo. El resto del tiempo libre gasté haciendo compras para regalos. Como en La Ciudad Rodrigo las tiendas de regalos estuvieron cerradas en domingo. Pero hay tres tiendas que estuvieron abiertas. Compre un pequeño regalo para coleccionar de mi madre de España. Compré un cenicero con cuadros de Cáceres.

In Trujillo it was another one hour trip on the bus. Because I have spent the day before studying for my culture class and half of it reading Harry Potter (Guilty as charged!), my eyes look like the Panda bear and obviously rather than looking at the scenery during the trip I spent it on sleeping (which I know I shouldn’t do). Both Cáceres and Trujillo historical centre is located up on the hills and we have to do some hiking. Trujillo hills are more steeper than Cáceres and I found my self out of breath by the time I reach the top. But the view is worth the hike anytime. We entered the castle and one museum. The view from the castle are breathtaking, you can walk all over the walls which give you a 360 degree angle view of Trujillo. As Extremadura is one of the poorest city and the driest land, long ago the Arabs make an underground place beneath the tower or the house to collect the rain water which they could use it whenever they need it (Smart eh!) .
